EU working on a ‘new paradigm’ to tackle irregular migration

The European Commission says it is working on a "new paradigm" to tackle migration, following a letter on so-called 'innovative solutions' from 19 member states.

"This is a welcome sign of support for our comprehensive approach to migration management," said a European commission spokesperson of the letter, in an email.
