The European Commission on Thursday (29 June) revealed a fresh initiative to boost competition in the EU's telecom sector.
With the new proposals the commission intends to reduce the number of individual EU legal regulations in the sector, from 18 to 12.
The regulations to be phased out are mainly linked to the supply of national and international call services.
