EU still seeking 'common deal' with Trump, as 9 July deadline approaches

EU Commission trade officials remain optimistic that they can broker a trade pact with Donald Trump by 9 July to head off higher tariffs threatened by the US president. 

“We have not offered a fair deal...we are looking for a common deal,”
